Pre-Owned 18K YG Vintage BTF Belgium Amethyst Tornado Ring Size 6.75

Presenting a most unusual, and seriously beautiful, vintage 18K yellow gold & Amethyst ring in superb condition.   Fully hallmarked with the "750" and "BTF" marks, this ring features a solid 18K yellow gold band and setting that is textured and shaped like a spiraling tornado.  It's also the first time we've ever photographed a ring next to a coin situated vertically, just to show off the rise of the setting.
 
We do not know the age of the ring, but it's likely at least 35 years old, though you wouldn't know it from the condition and we believe it might be a good older than that.  The setting is as substantial and heavy as you'd expect, weighing a full 10.8 grams, more than a third of an ounce.  It displays a flat-tabled, all-natural round cut Amethyst at the peak of a setting that rises a full half inch up off the finger.   The band itself is a size 6.75, as measured on our own ring sizing mandrel.   Diameter of the Amethyst setting is .4" / 11.25mm.
 
Because of the heavy weight, and gold purity of 18K, just the gold melt value alone is over $650.  We had a fun time photographing this ring, so enjoy!
