Bellarri "Colors of Passion" 18K White Gold, Natural Unheated Aquamarine & White Diamond Ring

From Bellarri's "Colors of Passion" Collection, this ring is a very special offering for us, and it's one of only two in existence - Bellarri only made two of these rings.

The majority of aquamarine sold today has been heat-treated, and prices for heat-treated aquamarine are very strong. There is financial incentive for designers to heat their aquamarines - if the stone can survive the heating process and doesn't crack, jewelers can turn lighter-hued stones into deeper teal stones and cash in on market demand for those colors. But many aquamarine collectors prefer gems that are natural and untreated, just as mother nature and million of years of geologic pressure made them. It's for these buyers that Bellarri creates pieces like this.

It starts with a beautifully detailed solid 18K white gold classical setting filled with 46 points - almost half a carat - of F/G VS-SI white diamonds. Decorating the undergallery of the ring are 3.00 carats of all-natural, earth-mined aquamarine baguettes, which from our teaser photo you weren't even expecting.

But the centerpiece is an all-natural, untreated, unheated, non-lab-enhanced 10.55 carat aquamarine that flashes hues of ice blue, sky blue, subtle Swiss blue, seafoam green, and sage green. All of the photos you see below were taken in natural light - hold this ring up to an open window and let natural light refract through this huge 10+ carat aquamarine and this is what it looks like.

The top setting measures .75" x .55" (the aquamarine alone is .7" long), with a rise of just under .5" up off the finger. The shank is a size 6 - a little smaller than Bellarri standard 7 - but sizing service is available.

Retail on this piece was well over $13K - you'd be looking at $15K with tax - but we're offering it for under $5K.
