Bellarri "Flirtation" 18K Yellow Gold, Amethyst, Multi-Gemstone, Pink Sapphire & White Diamond Ring

We offered this same ring in the citrine colorway last year, and now we're excited to have the amethyst version. From Bellarri's "Flirtation" Collection, this is one of those pieces usually results in guilt and/or shame as the customer opens the package, sees it, and thinks "I think we should have paid more for this. Let's at least send Dawn and Eric some cookies or a puppy or something."

It starts with a solid 18K yellow gold shank and setting and features a stunning 6.68 carat all-natural, untreated amethyst featuring what Bellarri calls their "Revellon" cut - it's a decreasing-width polygon with flat table and scalloped crown. The refraction pattern is completely unusual - the light bursts all extend outward from the center in a V-shaped chevron pattern. And the stone is perfectly clear - you can see through to the filigree setting below from just about every angle.

Complementing the amethyst are almost 3 carats of additional precious and semi-precious stones in a variety of shapes and cuts. You've got oval rhodolite and green tourmaline joined by marquise topaz, citrine and iolite on one side, with oval peridot and topaz joined by marquise iolite, rhodolite and citrine on the other. Sprinkled amongst these semi-precious stones are 8 round natural pink sapphires, with beautiful ribbons of gold filigree flowing through the side settings.

Genuine white diamonds (3 points) decorate the ends of the amethyst setting.

The top setting measures .75" long (finger direction) and around .85" measured side to side across the gemstone galleries. Rise up off the finger is only .3". Total weight is 13.5 grams, almost half an ounce. Shank size is a 7 and sizing is available.
