Bellarri "Colors of Passion" 18K Citrine & Multi-Gem Ring

This "Colors of Passion" design - which we affectionately named "Big Daddy" back in 2012 - actually comes in two sizes. The R7097 size is smaller, and we've had those for under $2K. This is the R7096 size - it's larger, heavier, and this is the first time we've ever gotten one under $2500.

It weighs more than 21 grams - over 2/3 of an ounce. Very few Bellarri pendants weigh that much, and most Bellarri rings weigh half this amount. So if you like petite rings, you'll want to close this page and continue your shopping!

The centerpiece of the ring is a 12.55 carat all-natural, untreated Madeira citrine with deep amber-tangerine color and distraction-free clarity. Decorating the side gallery - and dangling from the side - are 6.09 carats of natural citrine, garnet, rhodolite, amethyst, peridot, iolite and topaz. The little teardrop-cut gemstones dangling from the sides are amethyst and red garnet.

A full 21 points - more than a fifth of a carat - of genuine white diamonds decorates the corners of the top setting in double-decker fashion.

The top setting measures .95" x .75", with a rise of almost half an inch. The shank is a size 7 and sizing service is available, though the available range may be limited due to the complexity of the side gallery and thickness of the shank.

While the size of the ring, and the intricate side gallery and dangles will get all the attention at first glance, you'll find that once you have it on your finger the Madeira citrine center stone really is the highlight. It's a stone that looks good in photos but absolutely dazzles in person. While it's faceted on top, it's tapered and smooth at the sides to create the hourglass shape. That smooth side crown, curving inwards, combines with the top facets to create some wonderful light refraction and depth. Again, you don't see it in the photos, but in person you'd buy this ring for the center stone alone.
