Bellarri "Colors of Passion" 18K Yellow Gold, Amethyst, Multi-Gemstone & White Diamond Ring

For all of the "Colors of Passion" creations we've sold in the last 8 years, it's hard to believe this is only the 2nd "Colors of Passion" R7026 ring and the first in yellow gold. Given the rise in the price of gold - from under $1000 per ounce when this was created to now over $1700, Bellarri just doesn't make many designs like this anymore.

It starts with a big, beautiful solid 18K yellow gold band and setting and features a 4.87 carat faceted natural amethyst center stone. That big center is surrounded by more amethyst on all four sides of the top setting, plus trillions of rhodolite, amethyst, topaz and peridot at the corners plus more of those same stones decorating the side galleries of each of those corner settings. We're still not done - there are tapered-length baguettes of rhodolite, amethyst & green tourmaline on both sides of the ring, plus 9 points of genuine white diamonds set in rhodium flanking the side arrangements. The total carat weight of all the gemstones accenting the center stone is 8.20ct for a total of more than 13 carats of natural untreated gemstones.

The top setting measures .65" x .75" with a rise of .35" up off the finger. It weighs 13.5 grams, almost half an ounce - again, Bellarri doesn't make many like this anymore, with this much gold.

The band size is right in between 7 and 7.25. It's bigger than a 7, but not quite a 7.25.
